An alcohol ignition interlock device prevents a person under the influence of alcohol from starting the vehicle. The device is fitted to the ignition and requires a breath sample from the driver before the vehicle can be started. If the sample is over the pre-agreed limit, the vehicle will not start.

Interlock Removal

To have your Interlock removed, you will need to provide a written confirmation from VicRoads Relicencing Division.
